Unlike most of my reclaimed burlap coffee sack stoles, this one is unadorned, allowing the imperfections and design from the coffee sack it is made from show through more prominently. For these stoles, I try to choose burlap with small holes, imperfections, and at least a bit of the grower's logo on it in order to highlight the burlap's original use.

The burlap is sourced from a nearby coffee producer, and has been thoroughly cleaned. Bear in mind that due to the nature of the burlap material, slubs and slight irregularities are to be expected and add to the character of this stole; additionally, text that was printed on the coffee sack is often still visible on the stole.

This stole is made with a tapered neck, approximately 2 1/2" at the neck, 4 1/2" for most of the length. Length can be anywhere from 44" to approximately 52" from the neck to the end. I can sometimes create a stole 54” or 56”; contact me to determine availability. (Cannot be longer because the coffee sacks are that size.)

As shown on the listing for this stole, the reverse of the stole has a label that conveys that the stole is made from a reclaimed burlap coffee sack, indicates the country of origin for the coffee originally in the the coffee sack and the origin of the burlap bag itself, and provides the inspiration for the design painted on the stole.  See pictures for an example.

Stole is fully lined with recycled P.E.T. felt for stability, backed with a soft 100% cotton. Not reversible.

Packaged in a tin-tie bag often used to package coffee beans, ready for gifting. The bag is made from 40% recycled natural kraft paper lined with a compostable clear film made from plants, providing an earth-friendly yet waterproof way to protect your stole during shipment.

I can often select "highly distressed" or "lightly distressed" burlap to create your stole, so let me know if you have a preference.
